We bought this house in August & have been remodeling it since! Tomorrow will mark, and entire week since we have been moved in!!! I’m so in love with everything my husband has done! He has done everything by himself, besides some help from my dad & grandpa. My grandpa is a plumber & did some work, and my dad helped lay some flooring! So awesome to have such handy men in our family! I will post pictures soon! We are finishing the back splash in the kitchen today, then I will post! Now it’s time to buy little pieces of furniture that we need. Such a coffee table, end table, TV console, and a rug for the living room! Decorating is my favorite part. I love it. It’s like therapy for me. I’m also super cheap, so I try to find a bargain anyway I can!😂
I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend, go enjoy your Saturday!☺️
Our house should be finished before Christmas. I was super down a couple of days ago, because we thought it wasn’t going to be finished by Christmas. But good news came & looks as if we will be in there the beginning of next week! Floors & counter tops go in this weekend!! I’m beyond excited!
So this weekend, on Saturday. My husband & I spent ALL day together, KID FREE! Kid free. We haven’t had time alone like that in 2 1/2 months. Which is wayyy too long. We’ve just been so busy. But this weekend, we needed to finish the Christmas shopping! So we knocked it out, and had so much fun. I mean we always do, but we usually have our kids. Everyone tells me, y’all need to get out more. Yes, every now & then but we would rather be together with our kids! My husband is such a hard worker & I was very blessed when I met him! He has been my best friend for 7 years, we’ve been together for 5, and married for almost 2. So I literally married my bestie! At first when we met, we were strictly just friends. He wanted to date but I was young & had just got out of a really toxic relationship. So I wasn’t ready.
Anyways, that was so nice. He’s my human!❤️I just love him! My kids are going to love all his presents! I can not wait for Christmas morning!!!!
I hope you all had a great weekend. Have a great week!!!
Well it’s officially cold now here in Oklahoma. Which means, atleast one of us will get sick. That one just so happens to be my 3 year old. He seems better today, but still has a cough. Keeping him away from his sister is the biggest problem we have. He loves to play with her! But she’s only 6 months, so if she were to catch something it could potentially be bad. I’m hoping it clears up soon, he was super upset he wasn’t able to go to church today. I’d rather him stay home than spread things to others.
On another note, if you’ve read my previous blogs, you will know we are on the last remodel of our new home which is the kitchen! Welllllll…. it’s ALMOST done! Which means, we get to move in! Which also means, we get to have Christmas in our new home!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼I’m so excited! I can’t wait to decorate!
Our little lady turned 6 months yesterday. Friday we went to the doctor and she got 4 shots! She was so upset, so mad. It was the saddest thing I’ve seen. She cried big ole tears but she’s been fine since. I can’t believe how big she is! 17 pounds, 26 1/2 inches! My husband is 6’5 which makes since to why we have huge children. Haha. Our son is super tall, everyone thinks he’s 5! He’s 3 & wears a 5 in clothing. Our son had a milk intolerance when he was born & it took switching doctors for us to figure that out & by that time he was 2 1/2 months old. So we had a little set back with his weight. She’s much chunkier than he was at this age! I think it’s the cutest thing ever. They are polar opposites but they both look so much like their daddy! I carry them for 10 months & neither look like me. Our son got my eye color & that’s it. 😂 That’s usually how it works, I guess!
Well I’m going to stop rambling, and go enjoy some coffee & watch Nemo with my babies! Hope your weekend was fab & your week is just as great!
Oh btw-Boomer Sooner-Big 12 Champs!!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! Seriously love this time of year. All the food, and family is such a blessing! Thursday was such a great day. My mom, sister & I went shopping Thursday night after our tummies were full, and we were out until about 11 pm. We left at 5 pm so it wasn’t that bad. We went to many stores & got a lot of our Christmas shopping finished. Then Friday morning, we got up at 6 & made it to At Home by 8 for their big sale. To my surprise they weren’t very busy, so that was nice! Then we worked on our new house the rest of the day Friday & all day Saturday. We are hoping to be in there & have it finished before Christmas!🎄🎅🏼
Today, we went to church & the service was amazing! Had lunch afterwards, and my husband went to help my dad pour some concrete before the rain came! The kids & I have been resting all day. Such a wonderful weekend!
We had an experience today, that I never hoped we would have. We went to get our son out of Sunday school after church, and he through a huge fit & hid underneath the table. Those poor teachers. She was like you can come in & get him if you want. In his defense, he isn’t really around children his age a whole lot. If he is, it’s his two cousins. We are thinking of putting him in a Mother’s Day out program. He absolutely loves to be around children & is the sweetest. He just didn’t want to leave today. I think it will benefit him, and help us decide if he is ready for school this coming August!
Anyways, I hope you all had a great weekend & an amazing holiday!!
Hey there y’all!
I’ve been a bit MIA this weekend! Let me just fill you in on our busy, busy weekend. So we bought our first home back in August. The end of August to be exact. We have completely remodeled the living room, the floors, the bathroom (somewhat), and now we have decided to do the kitchen. My husband does this for a living, so it’s going very smoothly. BUT he also goes to school at night for heating & air. He’s just wanting to go into something else & do remodels/painting on the side. So it’s taking a bit longer than expected. Soooo, Friday that’s what we were doing. Going back and forth from there, leaving our son with him to “work”. He is 3! But he loves to “work” on anything with his daddy. My husband also does auto repair, not for a living but helps his dad, which does do it for a living. So our son “works” with him on cars too. I swear, my husband is a jack of all trades! He’s the best! Anyways, on Saturday, I went shopping for my nephew. He turned the big ONE on Thursday & his birthday party was Saturday night! So much fun, he had no idea what the heck was going on. It was cute! Then Sunday, we were off to church. Then after church, we went to eat lunch & then to pick out our kitchen cabinets. Y’all I’m so excited for my kitchen! It’s going to be amazing. Honesty, I’m so excited to get in that house & make it a home! I’m obsessed with decorating. I try to stick to a budget with all of that! We are hoping to be in by Christmas, so we can have our entire family over for Christmas morning! Eeeekkk!☺️Totally my husbands idea too. I thought he was crazy but I would love to give my grandparents a break & let everyone see our remodeled kitchen! I will apply some pictures of the house! And will post more as the remodel comes along! Well I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! My little lady is down for a nap, so I’m going to go spend some quality time with my little guy! Make some snacks, and relax. (I went shopping this morning, while I had a sitter. I need to relax, this momma is tired!)
Have a great day!
